I had a lovely weekend. No, a lovely week. I feel like a cloud has lifted. I cooked, which is a good sign, means I care enough for my own needs that I’m willing to put effort into satisying them. I sat in the sunshine, with my best friend, and ate my leftovers at lunch. I ran errands and went shopping, I ran up and down the stairs. I watched very little TV. I hardly did any drugs. I slept. I walked. I had dinner with old friends. Yes. This weekend has been good. Found my golden ticket to Burning Man, and the close second silver to Transformus. I worked a shift of overtime, ca-ching. Overtime felt like playtime. Score. I’m all buzzy. Excited. Pricing air tickets to Reno. Rationing my vacation time. Falling in love with my best friend all over again. Yep, this Pirate Ship is swinging UP.
He looks so peaceful
Why don’t we have one of these???
OMG!!! Want ONE! or two or three… heck, I’ll take a dozen, they’re small :)
The world’s smallest chameleon. The 29mm reptile is no bigger than the flies an average-sized chameleon would feed on. Scientists discovered four new species - called Brookesia micra - on a small islet just off the main island of Madagascar. This chameleon is now thought to be one of the smallest reptiles on the planet. Ted Townsend of San Diego State University, who carried out the genetic studies, said: “Their size suggests that chameleons might have evolved in Madagascar from small and inconspicuous ancestors, quite unlike the larger and more colourful chameleons most familiar to us today.î The newly discovered chameleons are only found in an area just a few square kilometers in size. Scientists believe they might be especially sensitive to habitat destruction. Picture: BARCROFT MEDIA
